- This project aimed at enhancing the level of the Ivorian population’s access to public information; as part of the government’s strategy for national reconciliation; launched as a response to the 2002 rebellions. There were at the time nine main areas in the government’s plan; of which strengthening governance through media support and mobilization of vulnerable members of society was key. Strengthening partnerships between the public; the media; and civil society was an intrinsic aspect of this project and other governmental efforts to generate and disseminate knowledge of its peace plan.
